Major in Applied Plant Science

APS Students obtain a strong foundation in science through courses in biology, chemistry, genetics, and ecology.

APS Students can choose between indepth knowledge in a specific area of interest,  taking additional courses in a scientific discipline for example, or a broad understanding in multiple areas of interest, combining courses in biology and food science for example.

APS Students develop a program that includes courses in one of three areas of specialization:

APS Students select up to 22 "free elective" credits in addition to courses their chosen area of specialization.

APS Students acquire research skills by assisting with faculty research or by developing their own independent research.

APS Students gain skills in planning, organizing and communicating through internships with industries or community organizations.

APS Students enhance their knowledge of the world and other cultures by studying abroad.
